Resident Memberships
This category includes Resident, "Under 40" Resident, and Legacy Memberships.
Nomination of a new Resident Member shall be submitted on the completed Nassau Club Application form and accompanied by letters of recommendation from three sponsors (a proposer and two seconders) who are Resident Members of the Nassau Club.
Applications for Resident Membership without sponsors are considered from applicants who meet the following limited criteria:
- Former members who have resigned in good standing and are requesting readmission; or
- Non-resident Members wishing to upgrade their status to Resident membership.
The sponsors will provide sufficient information to permit the Committee to make a reasonable judgment on the nominee’s suitability for membership, including potential positive contribution of the nominee to the activities and fellowship of the Club.
The sponsors are responsible to have the nominee meet the Committee at one of its meetings on being advised that an application is deemed complete.
The application for membership of nominees who the Committee finds have satisfactorily met the foregoing requirements will be posted outside the Club Office for two weeks for comment by the resident members. If no comments are received during the posting process, the nominee’s application for membership shall be deemed to be accepted. The Committee is responsible to review any comments received during the posting period and to make a final judgment on admission.
Junior Member (ages 21-30)
Receive full access to the club including dining, events, social programming, and all Reciprocal Clubs for only $250 per year. Each $250 payment is credited toward the standard $2,500 initiation fee due at age 31
Reactivation of Former Resident Members
Once we receive your completed application you will receive an invitation to the next Admissions Committee Meeting and Reception. There you will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Admissions Committee and become more familiar with the Club. Please RSVP to the office upon receipt of your invitation via phone or email. The initiation fee will be waived for former resident members.
Non-Resident Memberships
This category includes Non-Resident and Non-Resident Reciprocal Memberships.
Nominations of new Non-Resident Member shall be submitted on the completed Nassau Club Application form including signatures by three sponsors (a proposer and two seconders) who are members of the Nassau Club and accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the proposer.
A nominee for Non-Resident membership is not required to meet with the Committee and the application may be deemed complete by the Committee Chair or a designee without Committee action.
The Committee, in its discretion, is governed by these Rules for Admission to The Nassau Club.
